Book and appointment to try on our current collection of made to order, designer samples and used bridal gowns.

Ahead of your appointment

Masks are optional per the City of Berkeley guidelines.

  • To ensure everyone receives our full attention, appointments are required for celebrant gown shopping. Each Emerald City Gowns consultant is dedicated to assisting you for a full hour, helping you find the wedding gown that perfectly suits your personal style.

  • There is a $35 fee for weekend appointments, while weekday appointments are free. This fee is collected at the time of booking and can be applied toward any purchase made on the day of your appointment. We offer scheduling six days a week, with the bridal salon closed on Tuesdays. Weekday appointments begin at 10 AM, with the last appointment at 4 PM. Last-minute appointments are welcome—please call ahead.

  • When booking, please indicate the number of guests accompanying the bride, with a maximum of 4 (including children not in strollers).

    YES, you can bring your partner. No, it's not weird!

    Appointments can be scheduled from 1 hour to 30 days in advance. For exceptions, please email info@emeraldcitygowns.com. There is a non-refundable deposit required for all appointments booked more than 30 days in advance.

  • We now offer sparkling wine and water with a VIP appointment. Please book ahead ($75 for 90 minute appointment). If you'd like to bring your own clear liquid refreshments, you may do so to your 60 minute appointment - please provide your own cups and napkins.

    All the way from Honolulu, HI, Aliyah has joined the ECG as our walk-in stylist. She enjoys fashion from various decades and aspires to be an editor and chief of a major fashion magazine. In her free time you can find her picking flowers for leis or thrifting in the city.

Many of our custom-made gowns are meticulously crafted by professional tailors in the designer's studio in the USA, with some designs being imported.

    Our consignment gowns are sold off-the-rack, perfect for those who can’t wait 4-8 months for your gown to arrive. You take it home with you same day in an ECG opaque garment bag.

An opportunity to wear a designer gown for a more modest budget.

Discover timeless gowns from current and past seasons at a fraction of the original price. Sample designer gowns have been viewed and tried on, but never worn at a wedding. Unaltered sizes generally range from 4 - 24 and start around $700.

Sample gowns are sold as-is, off-the-rack, and are available to take home same day of purchase. A wonderful option for those who need a gown immediately or prefer a more sustainable option than ordering new.

While we aim to deliver all items in superb condition, any cleaning or repairs needed are the responsibility of the customer, as well as any alterations needed to achieve the perfect fit. Fortunately, we have local tailors and cleaners we can recommend to perfect the gown and bring it back to like-new condition!
